A scheme in which four Cornish fishermen have been working the waters off Yemen has been so successful that it is expanding.
The Yemeni businessmen behind the pilot project are building up to five new boats.
The pilot project, which has been organised by a fisheries management scheme in Hampshire, sees the fishermen catch red snapper fish from April to November, and for the rest of the year they fish for yellow fin tuna.
Their catch is then airfreighted back to European markets.
The Cornish crews believe the expansion could produce more jobs for their colleagues back in the county.
